It's been a while and it's been a busy month.  But doesn't life get busy always this time of year?  It will soon be Thanksgiving and then Christmas and every year I threaten to leave my Christmas tree up because it comes again so quickly.  

We took a 10 day trip to spend some time with extended family.  Family - together is my favorite place to be!  The trip included some back roads through the mountains hoping to do some "leaf looking", but the leaves hadn't changed yet.  Still, it was a lovely ride!  

Over and Over I'm reminded of the brevity of life.  It's short, friend, really short!  It is so hard to believe that I am now in my senior years and I wonder how I got here so quickly.  But isn't that what the Bible says?  We're here for a while and then we vanish away.  It reminds me of the poem Only one life twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last.  

It is also a great reminder that we need to be ready for eternity and share the good news with others.
