Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Our year in a quick review:

In spite of our troubled and evil world, we're hoping you are finding joy in the Lord.  The joy of the Lord is our strength and He is the one that gives genuine joy in our hearts.  We have had a blessed year and pray that you have too.

The truth is,we need each other!  There may come a day when many of us are in prison for our faith. There are many all over the world like this – let’s pray for them!  And  I pray, if that situations comes to us  that we will be able to stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

February: Trip to my sister's on the coast. Fun times meeting up with lifetime friends.

March: This month was full of many birthdays for grandchildren. Grandchildren are always a part of our life and we love it!

May: Our 2nd oldest granddaughter graduated

We took a beach trip with our daughter's family

Our oldest granddaughter turned 19!

On a side note: there were 42 steps up to the beach house.  This was not the house we chose, but one they replaced for us due to the hurricane last year.  So, that's why all the steps.  But how grateful I am that the Lord helped me to improve my health this past year and I was able to take the steps multiple times, something that would not have happened before that.

June:  We always enjoy the grandkids ball games.  We traveled about an hour to see at least one of our grandson's ballgames.  He did a great job, but got his first injury while playing.

July: Baptism of two grandsons, 4th of July family get together, fun times with grandkids, visit with Granny, birds on my window. And so much more!

August:Sweet Grandkids, 1st birthday for the youngest, mountain day trip to Mt. Mitchell, flowers and rainbows, recitals, our little guitar player :)

September: Birthday Dates with grandkids, Mel and I started nursing home ministry

October: Trip to Connecticut to see sister.  It had been over 10 years.  Thankful for reunion with three sisters, a brother, and a niece.

November: Another small family reunion for Thanksgiving.  If you're wondering about the balloons, it was also our granddaughter's 2nd birthday.

This was also an extra special month as our friend is now out of prison, Thanksgiving was special not just because of family, but we were able to minister and be a blessing to others, Mel and I also took some beautiful fall rides this month.

December: Family Christmas party with all the kids and grandkids!  Saddened by the homegoing of our son's father in law, but rejoicing that he is seeing his Savior face to face and we have the hope of being reunited one day.  This man was injured years ago and has lived in a wheelchair ever since.  You will be blessed by his testimony by clicking the link below.  Praise God He is now walking and leaping and praising Him face to face!
