During our planning session in November 2019, we identified our priorities/goals for 2020:
BUSINESS RECRUITMENT
• Work to Fill Empty Buildings
• Develop Co-working spaces & Innovation Lab with Partners
• Promote & sell land in the 20 West Industrial Center
• Begin application process for Site Certification of 20 West Industrial Park
BUSINESS RETENTION & EXPANSION
• Support intermodal facility within 1.5 hour radius
• Develop and implement Community Catalyst Building Remediation Program
• Establish more outreach with area businesses & dedicate additional staff & Board of Directors focus
WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS
• Engagement with schools
• Attract more residents
• Partner with DYP to create family activity space
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
• Downtown Redevelopment will continue to be a priority
• MLB/Field of Dreams Event
• Trail Development
FACILITY IMPROVEMENT
• Replace the office entrance & signage on the building
• Determine energy saving measures & work with Aliant
• Create & maintain professional office environment
ORGANIZATION/PROFESSIONAL
• Develop future leaders program
• Continue to work with Dyersville Young Professionals
• Continue to keep board engaged with organization & community
