Hi Community!

I'm trying to figure out what tone to take in this week's letter to you because... The world feels heavy to me right now.

I've been consumed by the news, diving deep into diversity & inclusion work, and swimming in my own shadow. All of these things are important, but they each carry weight.

I'm learning to find this balance between light and shadow. For so long, the pursuit of wellness has equaled the pursuit of light for me. But ignoring the shadow is what makes wellness (and many other things in our society!) problematic.

Like I mentioned, I'm very much in learning mode when it comes to shadow work, but a book that has been a great resource is Goldmining the Shadows by Pixie Lighthorse.

When overwhelmed with our collective shadow, she says, "the thing to do is what we can do—become strong with bandwidth to face how things actually are, not yearn for how we want them to be."

If you're reading this, I think it's because you also want to see things as they really are. Our quest for truth and authenticity is why I believe we are drawn towards wellness practices in the first place, as well as feeling good in our bodies & minds.

Wellness is evolving. Our society is evolving. We are evolving. And thankfully, we get to do that together.

"Let our ability to walk together generate the sigh of relief we really need" - Pixie Lighthorse

Walking by your side this week & always.
