In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I thought I would share with you a little love story of mine. Here’s the story of how I met my best friend and the man I married...
We first met at a friend’s house. He had come up from 600 miles away to stay with a friend of his for two weeks to take in the sights of our wonderful state, and his friend happened to be living with a friend of mine. We met the day after Christmas and by Valentine’s Day, he had given his employer notice and had moved in with our friends so we could be together up here. Everyone thought he was crazy, but we both just knew it was meant to be.
Three years later, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. That was almost 15 years (and one crazy kiddo!) ago, and I still can’t believe that I am lucky enough to have him in my life.
He is my biggest supporter and my biggest fan. He constantly reminds me of my WHY in this business of mine, and drives me to be better and dream bigger. The one thing this has taught me is that you need to have someone on your side, cheering you on in your business. It doesn’t have to be a spouse or significant other, just someone who believes in you wholeheartedly and wants to see you succeed.
