The beginning is really the end. Nothing is as it seems.
This was the most appropriate way to introduce this Lunar Insights newsletter as the New Moon in Pisces has us tying up loose ends at the beginning of 2020. It ain't all dreamy water vibes though. Let's break down the energy of this lunation and how we can use it peel, heal, and keep it real with our mind, body, and spirit during this time.
Pisces, the Uranian water sign, is the last sign of the zodiac. So although it still feels like we're still getting comfortable with the turbulence 2020 has already brought along, we're urged to look at this time as the culmination of everything that's occurred in the last 12 months. Like the ocean waters that flow endlessly, in and out of itself, we're called to remember to do the same during this time; especially as it might feel like life's waves are crashing into us rather than carrying us through.
Tanaaz Chubb writes, "Within you is the same ocean that ebbs and flows with the cycle of the Moon. It’s asking us to take a dive to the bottom of the ocean within us, not to analyze, pick apart, or judge what is there, but to simply observe. To watch the memories, the pains, the dreams, and the triggers. To see them floating by like they are a part of you, but not really you."
The New Moon is forcing us to see what doesn't work so we can find our footing in the new beginning we've been intending since the end of 2019. The time to let go of what's keeping you tied up, drowning in the depths of your own despair, and let live in your healing is NOW.
Think back to February 2019. What's changed since then? What's lingering? What's manifested? Whether you're uncomfortable with the truths that erupt after digging deep within, or you're amazed at the progression of your evolution thus far, faith is critical right now. Especially as Mercury retrogrades in Pisces. I can't say this enough: don't get swept up in internet-induced fears about Mercury retrograde. (If you're curious about it's inner workings, there's a blog post about this on my website.)
If anything, Mercury retrograde forces us to slow down and really look both ways. Pair that with this New Moon energy, and the ask is that we pray and meditate for clarity on our imminent new beginnings before taking a wild plunge in the dark. Astrologers and spiritualists alike recommend that we continue to practice discernment, and prep for the bloom after Mercury stations direct on March 10. Have faith in how the Universe is placing things and people in your path, see them as opportunities, and shift forward slowly but steadily.
Further encouraging our breakthrough is the sextile or "Talent Triangle" the New Moon in Pisces has going on with Uranus and Mars. The three planets, interlocked, energy flowing freely, are influencing us to dive deeply into our God-given gifts. As mentioned, Mercury Rx seems to be complicating the start of new endeavors, but this conjunction won't stop us from peeling back the layers and revealing the tools that were instilled in us since creation.
Embrace Pisces' smart, creative, and deeply intuitive vibes, and start doing research, drawing up blueprints, and making necessary appointments. Drink a ton of water, speak powerful affirmations in a warm bath (perhaps the ones included in this email), and find creative ways to discharge heavy emotions. After March 10, shift into high gear and fill the world with your unique graces. You're more than worthy.
