hey there

it's Tuesday, march 10th and here are 10 things I'm feeling inspired by...

ONE : I stumbled on this blanket and I think it's a jumping off point for the one I want to knit. Maybe in more colors though? Not sure...

TWO : "Having the Democratic race end where it started, with two 70-plus-year-old white men in the lead, can almost make it seem as if the last year of campaigning didn’t even happen. But it did. The world saw six women stand on the debate stage as candidates for president of the United States. These women, and those who were elected across the country in 2018, have changed politics forever." –– yes. great piece by Jennifer Palimeri (PS: If you're in ND, ID, MI, MO, MS or WA, today is your primary. Please vote.)

THREE : a perfect episode from Reply All.

FOUR : this is the inspiration for the reading corner at my house! (Except not painted because I am allergic to wall color.) Can't wait to make it happen this spring.

FIVE : Glennon Doyle's memoir, Untamed, was delivered yesterday and I stayed up two hours late last night to read it. I woke up an hour early this morning to read it. I am just over halfway through and have cried actual tears four times.

SIX : I want to do a cool weaving project this year and these pillows are my (current) inspiration.

SEVEN : loving this collection of mini pieces by artist Julie Wolfe. Thinking about how cool of a statement wall of small pieces like that would be in my color story. Maybe the girls could help too.

EIGHT : I am currently working on a quilt from a pattern (new for me!) and have fallen back in to the world of quilting. This one looks amazing.

NINE : I started whole30 two weeks ago partly because I wanted a food restart but mostly because I wanted a challenge to get me cooking while Paul is gone. It's been great and I am starting to think about the next challenge which miiiiiight be working my way through this (super well-reviewed!) cookbook.

TEN : I saw this quote nearly two months ago and I have thought about it every day since. I struggle a lot with being misunderstood. I don't care if you like what I am doing or agree with what I am doing but for some reason it matters to me that I have articulated my purpose to you adequately. But....what if I could let that go? Think of the energy I could redirect into just doing my thing. I might actually sprout wings and fly.

Never not looking for magic,

elise
