14 Day "You Got This" Challenge

DAY 10

Photo Organization

Day 10: Photo organization

Most of our photo-taking is on our phones now. Makes it super convenient not to carry around a camera all the time, but because of that, often our photos just get left on our phone to live there...forever.

Or you could be like me and have a mix of phone pics and regular camera pics. This seems to make it even more confusing because photos could be in two places now.

The goal with any of the photos that we take is to have fun looking back on them later.

Today, we are going to go over a few ways to get your photos organized digitally and get your favorites printed!

Photo organization TIPSπŸ‘‡

Goal: Get your photos in a central location OFF of your phone, and to get physical prints of your favorites.

Organizing your phone pics

  • First, take a scroll through your camera roll and remove any blurred or accidental images.  We want to start this import-to-the-cloud process with a clean slate.
  • Connect an app like dropbox to your phone and computer and turn on auto-syncing.  This means every time you take a photo, it will add to your folder in the cloud.  I especially love this because I can pull up my phone images on my computer easily.
  • If you want to take it a few steps further, organize that folder into "years".  Makes it easy to look back and pull up images quickly.

Printing your favorites

Don't let your photos just live digitally forever.  There is nothing like holding and touching your images.  If you have children, it is nice for the kids to pick up and look at as well.

  • Download an app like Chatbooks to your phone where you can easily create books, print images, and other items all from the app.

Have fun looking through your photos!  Can't wait for Day 11! βœ‰οΈ
