Going to keep today nice and simple. There is not a lot to this one, but it is easily overlooked.
We have a lot going on right now. A lot of changes in our routine, etc... It is difficult to manage. You're not alone. The whole world is doing the same thing you are right now!
It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of making ends meet, taking care of the kids, answering emails, and just running a household. Goodness, by day 2 of quarantine I was exhausted.
I was trying to do laundry, work, be a friend, be a mom, be a good co-worker, be a wife, ALL THE THINGS.
But why was my energy and patience draining so quickly?
I wasn't giving myself the time I needed to feel whole again. I needed to fill my soul up. Because as soon as I can do that, I will be able to be a better person for others.
TREAT YOURSELF! I'm not talking about some crazy full day of pampering (but if that's what you need, do it). Just steal 10 mins, 20 mins, 1 hour from your day to center yourself...to do something you enjoy.
It isn't selfish. It is just what is needed so you can be the best you, you can be!
So go read a book, go on a walk, do a sweaty workout, drink some tea in silence hiding in your closet...Do what you need to do so you can feel refreshed.
