A WEEK'S WORTH OF INSPIRATION, EATING, LISTENING, WATCHING, READING, WORKING, AND MAKING
Hey there, friend!
How we doing? I haven't left my house in 12 days and even I'm starting to feel the need to get out.
But I've never texted my far-flung family more. Silver linings, right?
My week was spent cleaning up my backyard to extend our living space as much as possible, planting new plants into the beds for spring and emotionally trying to keep my head above water.
It's been hard, not gonna lie. Wishing I could do more to help. Anyways. Here we are.
This weekend, I really hope to feel better about just sitting and reading, to get more creative with what we are eating and to sit by the newly cleaned fire pit at least one night.
I hope you are able to find a bit of peace and at least one silver lining out of your own situation.
#isolationcreationOne of the most beautiful things to come out of all this has been Jaime Beck's Isolation Creation Series. One new photo, everyday. With BTS. Always inspiring.
I have never eaten more bread in my life than in the past 10 days. The universe just provided me with an "accidental" order of 15lbs of bread flour so apparently I'm on the right track.
Apple Music added this upbeat mix to the weekly offerings and it couldn't have come at a better time.
Little else has been as comforting as watching Marvel movies this past week. They are so ridiculously over the top and fantastical. Ragnarok is a particular fave.
Reading anything has been hard to do. I can't seem to focus on anything for longer than 20 minutes. But reading this felt good to recognize it's not just me.
Did a quick little micro-design this week for a client who needed some help with their linen and pantry closet. One day of 'normal' working was a good thing.
I haven't actually put needle to fabric yet. I've only just started organizing my threads and searching for patterns. But all in due time.
PIN OF THE WEEK
I'm taking very much comfort in beautiful cakes lately. Reminders of happier times had and of those to come. This insane cake is by LiMa Cakes in Toronto. Those flowers are all sugar!
