This pandemic has been extremely heavy on most people, but I definitely resonate with the pressure felt by people that associate themselves as empaths and channels, and those that battle with mental illness.

As someone who is still uncovering and learning to care for her spiritual gifts, and someone who feels the effects of severe anxiety and depression daily, I don't quite know how to navigate life better than I am already making a daily effort to. This week has been extremely painful for me in mind, body, and spirit, so I am choosing to honor my vessel while still being of service.

I've channeled cosmic guidance for us below, but it has not been voice recorded this time around. I hope you understand, will read the message, astrological insights, and customized release intentions, and will do your part in elevating the collective by choosing conscious action as much as possible.

Remember, you can work with the energy of the Full Moon up to three days before and after the lunation.

( deep sigh... )

Yesterday evening, a Super Full Moon in Libra lit up the sky along with the deepest, darkest, most hidden regions of our relationships. The one probably feeling the most lit up, the one I'm going to focus on in this newsletter, is the relationship with ourselves.

Libra is associated with balance, harmony, equality, justice, and fairness, but during this lunation, it may seem like we have to work a lot harder to grasp this type of energy. Let's break down why we should and how it will act as self-care for our mind, body, soul during this time.

Full Moons complete every two weeks as an opportunity for cleansing and releasing. When a Full Moon is categorized as Super, not only is it larger and brighter in the sky, but its effects are also magnified as felt by all creation. In the case of this week's Full Moon in Libra – ruled by the planet of love, Venus – our relationships are being illuminated for healing and releasing.

Before I share some practical ways that we can self-care using the energy of this lunation, it's important to highlight how Pluto and Jupiter have played a roll in the collective shifts happening all around us. We recently experienced Jupiter, planet of expansion, passing over Pluto, planet of death and rebirth, in the sign of Capricorn who rules our past.

As if living in a global pandemic wasn't enough of a sign that everything as we know it is shifting, these planetary placements confirm that this is a time of breaking into the past in order to break free for the future, a time when old responses to new problems won't work, springing forth a new way of being. At least...that's what this season is supposed to be doing. Are we listening?

This is not cosmic mumbo-jumbo. Being able to use the planets as a tangible resource for what's inevitably being felt all over the Universe is a blessing. This is, as astrologer Chani Nicholas defines it, "era-defining astrology."

We talk about transformation all of the time, probably in every single email, but this is not just asking us for change. This is asking us to get on board a moving vehicle. Things are changing whether we like it or not. But because the Universe always has our best interest in mind, this week's lunation is telling us to pay attention to our relationships as they define our daily existence as heaven or hell.

Self-Care for the Full Moon in Libra

Use these bullet points as journal, doodle, or even conversation prompts.

  • Relationship with Myself
    • How am I feeling in this season of my life?
    • What habits and behaviors don't make me feel lighter or give me a positive outlook? What habits and behaviors do I need to give more attention to?
    • Honor your wellness in a special Libra-ian way: Beautify your sacred space; stimulate your five senses in your favorite ways to self-care; create a bulleted list of the best and worst parts of your day each day (I do this, and it's my favorite way to end my day.)

  • Relationship with OthersAppraise each person you give your energy to daily.
    • Who drains my energy? If I can release them, how can I do that compassionately?
    • Regardless of the time you've known them, who fills you with joy? Makes you feel lighter during heavy times? Can you be 100% yourself with? Can you be vulnerable with?
    • How am I showing up in your relationships with others?

  • Relationship with Work/Career
    • Does my work fill me mentally, physically, and spiritually?
    • How has my employer cared for my team and I during the pandemic? Do I feel taken care of?

What's the juice?

Super Full Moon in Libra

  • "The April 7-8th Full Moon calls for us to start thinking about how we can come together to support one another, rather than getting stuck or bogged down in our own lives and what they have now become since all the changes and shifts 2020 has brought our way. This is the brightest and largest Super Full Moon of the year and its message shines just as strong- be there for others. Put yourself in other’s shoes. Reach out to support and in turn, watch how you are held."

"Full Moons have the ability to draw things out of us. While this can be cleansing, it can also stir pains to the forefront and highlight wounds that we have buried away. Staying hydrated, exercising, journaling, meditating, being creative, reaching out to friends, all those simple self-care practices may be needed right now." Forever Conscious

  • "During these times of uncertainty, we can find our way to our own inner balance by anchoring into our center, which links us to the primordial center of Creation, to the heart of the Earth. This is something we can all access through a variety of modalities. Through stillness or through movement, our center is something we can consciously invoke and move within." – Mystic Mamma

  • "The Full Moon illuminates matters important to its sign, and when it’s in Libra, our partnerships get their annual performance review. Question number one is always the same: Does this relationship bring more good things to my life than bad? Does it give more to each of us than it takes away?" – Moon Circles

  • "The systems that we have created in our lives, and have relied on to provide a sense of structure and continuity, are undergoing a deep transformation now." NorthPoint Journal

  • "We are in this together-alone. Having this concentration of time with ourselves makes us more intimately aware of what is always awaiting us just below the business of life. Our defenses have fewer accomplices. Our vulnerability has more to teach us. As our layers peel off, exposing the things we buried, tucked away, or refused outright, we get a better understanding of our general operating system. Pluto’s skin-shedding influence on this year and this Full Moon is non-negotiable. There is no more time to borrow. There is only this moment and sinking deeply into it." – Chani Nicholas

  • "This Full Moon is a good time to really appreciate what you have. This includes physical environment, friendships, loved ones, resources available to you, the freedoms you experience, your talents, your creativity, your wisdom and all of your experiences that no one can ever take away from you."

"Get some exercise and drink a lot of water. This is also a great time for communication and networking to keep the energetic circulation of community healthy. Inspire each other instead of feeding the drama and the fear. Be creative together as a way to support the emerging new forms. Spread love not panic. Support truth and authenticity. Be neutral instead of reactive." – The Power Path

  • "The ruler of this lunation is Venus who is heading into front end shadow of her Underworld journey. She stations retrograde May 12th but heads into shadow April 9th, bringing intimations of what is to come. We are heading into a time of deep re-evaluation of what is important to us." – Divine Harmony

full Moon intentions

Release what no longer serves you.

  • I release any and all energy ties to shadows that drain my connection.

  • I release any and all energy ties to people, places, things, habits, and energies I have already released.

  • I release internal patterns, mental programming, beliefs, and mindsets that hinder me from showing up authentically in my relationships.

  • I release the fear of altering my relationships and trust that the experiences that unfold in my life are in my best interest.

  • I release judgement of my process and trust that I am always divinely aligned with opportunities to grow into my highest existence.
