Dear {{ subscriber.firstName | default('friend') }}, 

Is your life still on hold?  Any changes in your state/town? Are you still holding up well?  I pray for you continually that the Lord will uphold you with His strength.

Has it really been two weeks since Easter? I hope you had an encouraging day in the Lord reflecting on His grace and mercy and what He did for you on the Cross. Praise God He's alive and He lives within my heart! One things I've been greatly reminded of is to: 
Set my affections on things above
If we've been risen with Christ to walk in new life, then we ought to set our affection on things above. (Col. 3:1) Let's remember that this world is not our home. Aren't you glad?

In my own devotions I have been focusing on a different subject each week and studying verses accordingly. Easter week, I focused on the resurrection. 

-I'm thankful for the resurrection of Jesus Christ which is our hope. 

-I'm thankful that I've been raised to walk in newness of life with Him. 

-I'm thankful that at the last trump, the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible to live forever with Him. 

-And I pray since I have new life in Christ that I can daily set my affection on things above and not be drawn away by the world.

I've added my verses below.

This past week, I've been focusing on the goodness of God. We just can't even begin to realize how good God is and that no matter what happens He is good all the time! Many ask, if God is good then why so much suffering? In fact, why are we going through this world wide trial right now? Here's a good place to find an answer. 

And remember Our Hope is Jesus!  

On a side note: Mother's Day will be here soon.  Are you a mom?  Do you know a mom?  Are you in? Is she in? This is well worth sharing.
