"When a design team is trusted, the results are evident"

Take an inside look into how we designed one of our most recent projects from start to finish

CONCEPT

The concept drives the design. In Park Grove, we knew our clients wanted a timeless approach. We felt mixing timeless finishes with modern pieces and deep tones would encompass who they are.

MATERIALS

Assembling this palette, we were set with the challenge of pre-construction finishes, such as the kitchen. Our goal was to fuse those materials with our new selections to make them look intentional and a part of the initial materials proposed for the overall design.

DESIGN

Clients hold onto the visual they are presented. Ensuring the final design maintains a relationship to the inspiration is crucial for a transparent experience from conception to fruition.

THE GUEST BEDROOM

The Guest Bedrooms have the largest opportunity for flexibility in design. In Park Grove, the standard layout of the unit called for two separate full bedrooms within the area you see above. Due to the atypical shape of the perimeter glazing & our client's input, we proposed to combine the two rooms into one. With the creation of two floating partitions strategically laid out, the room was able to accommodate all the basics of a bedroom plus office space, a lounge area, and additional storage. The remaining closet/bathroom space of the second guest room was converted into a large laundry room - rare to see in an apartment.

THE KITCHEN

As stated above, the kitchen was the pre-construction element at the basis of our palette. In order to not aggregate to the overall project cost we opted to keep the kitchen finishes as is and build our palette around it. Elements such as the bronze mirror backsplash is used in the entrance foyer as a tool to connect the spaces. We complimented the tonality of the wood in the kitchen with brass accents in the dining and living area through the fixtures and accent textiles.

THE WINE ROOM

When your clients are wine connoisseurs , you get to dedicate an entire room to it's safe keeping. We took advantage of the dramatic ceiling heights and designed a custom wall-to-wall wine display with beautiful floor to ceiling Italian marble, glass sliding doors, and custom bottle holders clad in brass to communicate the materiality from this wall to the TV Wall across the room. The soft touch of the honed marble influenced the gray suede wall covering chosen to go behind the tv, the brass frame and washed white oak millwork bridge this area of the unit to the living/dining spaces on the reverse side of the TV Wall.

RENDERINGS

3D Visualizations assist clients in further understanding what their future home will result in. As designers we spend months elaborating and providing visual aids but nothing compares to the excitement of a rendered perspective view.
