The Misunderstanding of the Gemini Twins.
I have a special air of I-know-what-I'm-talkin-bout with this email because my sun is in Gemini. For those of you who don't understand the sun, moon, rising, and all that, that just means I was born during Gemini season, which makes me a Gemini. Now, while you're reading or listening to this, picture me slumped over with my hands out towards you because your girl is ti-red – Geminis are the most misunderstood zodiac of all.
This is a very strong time, and I don't want you to get pulled in by the misconceptions and waste the energy of this precious dark moon, so let's break this down. Let's get into this New Moon in Gemini and how we can effectively utilize the cosmic energy all around us to heal what's revealed, and pivot forward into total mind, body, soul wellness.
As mentioned, the moon is dark and renewed in the air sign Gemini. Ruled by Mercury, it governs everything communication, versatility, rapid thoughts, and wittiness – truly fabulous spirits who are usually the life of the party. Because it's symbol is the twins, people loooove to say that Geminis are moody, two-faced, and crazy. I grew up hearing this most of my life, and although I wanted to revolt and say how much it's not true, some of it does hold weight but uses the wrong terms.
Gemini being characterized by its twins is no mistake. For the next few weeks you could feel scattered, and pulled in two different directions like you don't know where to go with all of the rambling thoughts in your head. Or...you could find your footing, starting with the guidance I'm providing you with here.
During this time, it's important that we use the symbol of the Gemini twins as a guide for best practices:
Twin One: Represents your physical self, creative, chatty, and expressive as ever, getting closer to the people who nurture you and your growth, adapting to the times by making the best of what you have while taking it one day at a time.
Twin Two: Represents the time and space spent fostering a deeper connection with yourself, re-examining your experiences to understand their position in your evolution, holding yourself accountable for self-disengagements while working on expressing yourself from your core and not your ego.
Again, these are best practices. Will it be difficult to manage the hypothetical moon twins that are already swirling around your life? Probably...but not if we make self-awareness a priority. This is something to highlight as the following planets are playing a major role in cosmic activity right now. Here's what's going on and how we can use them as a tool so we aren't made into a fool (#BARS):
Gemini's ruling planet Mercury makes a conjunction to Venus Retrograde, also in Gemini. As you may recall from previous emails, Venus Rx is here to guide us back to ourselves so we can re-examine our connections, finally let go of lingering disconnections, and renew our mental, physical, and spiritual bonds with ourselves. Astrologer Chani Nicholas describes it best, calling Mercury a megaphone to Venus' intimate thoughts. Don't get caught actin' a damn fool like Lana Del Rey did this week, coupling your insecurities with judgment and putting it on display for the whole Universe.
Instead, pay attention to what surfaces right now. You're not wrong in the way you feel, but you don't need to share everything you're processing just yet. Don't cheat yourself out of a deep, productive internal conversation.
Saturn, who is also retrograde, is also very active right now. In my last email, I told you that Saturn reminds us of the importance of returning to ourselves for optimal alignment and stability. This is good news! We can count on tapping into Saturn's energy to help us continue processing and progressing, but in less of an emotional way (Venus) and in more practical ways.
All in all, there isn't anything to roll your eyes at or disengage with. On the contrary, cosmic currents are moving us is to lock in and take notice of the opportunities the Universe has gifted us for true, deep healing.
Uncomfortable with what's going on in your life right now? That's the point. To be so uncomfortable that you get up and act on manifesting a life that feels like everything you've ever wanted. There's nothing wrong with being in the clouds with Gemini-esque daydreams about a brighter future, but know that if you can dream it, you can do it.
With that very corny line, I'm out. Make sure to check out the journal prompts and New Moon intentions I created for this very powerful time. Don't let it go to waste. 𓁿 MS.
