these are a few

of my favorite

Fun fact: we're currently on our way to Germany! It's really happening! While I'm up in the air, I wanted to send some fun stuff I've found these past several weeks.

BLACK LIVES MATTER! I've been listening and trying to educate myself more on my white privilege, and do you know what I realized? My black circle is basically nonexistent, and that needs to change. I can't just snap my fingers and have more colored friends, but I can make an effort to actively seek ways include more people of color (POC) in my life, online and offline.

I hope you'll enjoy a few of these black-owned small business I've found. I'd also LOVE to know about any of your favorite black-owned shops or instagrammers to follow. Please reply back or email me here to let me know about them.

made it and loved it

Cheeseburger Casserole: It's a favorite in our house. I add at least twice the amount of mustard, and I always up the pickles, too—mix at least 1/4 cup of them (chopped) into the mix, and add some pickle juice while it simmers. SO good!

Biscochitos: These cookies (bis-co-cheet-ohs) are so, so, so good. Hands down, my favorite cookie! My aunt made some for us before we left New Mexico, and I'm still enjoying them!

That's all for now; I hope you're all doing well. We left this morning for our biggest adventure yet, so keep an eye on instagram if you're curious about travel updates.

I'll just leave you with one final thought from someone far more insightful than me. I read this quote and it was a lightbulb moment. Despite our past, we can still take steps into the right direction.
