Here's my offering for you this week: I've released a new stock photo collection.

Joyful movement is the focus of this new commercial-use stock photo collection. People of a variety of body sizes, ethnic heritages and levels of ability bend, stretch, use mobility devices, move and groove in a fun, laughter-filled dance class.

All of the models in these images were compensated for their time and labor. The proceeds from image sales go to paying their creator a living wage and funding more diverse, body-positive stock photo shoots.

Hi friend,

Incorporating anti-racism work into both our personal and professional lives is work without an expiration date.

Here are the ways I've been incorporating anti-racism work and supporting Black and other people of color in my business since 2015. I'm not looking for cookies -- the intent of this list is to share what can be done even with a business as small as mine, and possibly spur some ideas for how you can incorporate anti-racism efforts into your own work and life.

> Prioritizing Black people and POC who respond to my Body Liberation Photos model calls (both for portraits/boudoir and stock photos)

> Prioritizing Black- and POC-owned businesses as suppliers for The Body Love Box, my body-positive shop and custom gift boxes

> Compensating marginalized (and all) models for their time and labor

> Monthly donations to Black Lives Matter and my local Duwamish tribal council

> Financial support for The Body is Not An Apology, and for several individual creators of color via Patreon

> Continuous learning and internal work around my own whiteness

I'll be proud to continue supporting Black folks in my business and working to unravel my own internal biases.

Warmly,
Lindley

Hi! I'm Lindley.

I'm a professional photographer (she/her, pronounced LIN-lee) who celebrates the unique beauty of bodies that fall outside conventional "beauty" standards. I live outside Seattle, WA.

I talk about and photograph fat folks because representation of large bodies in the world is vital to our body liberation.

People come to me for:

  • Body-safe portrait, boudoir and small business photography sessions
  • Diverse, body-positive stock photos
  • Fat fine art photographic prints
  • Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned consulting, writing and editing
  • The Body Love Shop, a central resource for body-positive and fat-positive art and products

Pssst! Did a friend forward you this email? If you'd like to get your own body liberation guide every week, just drop your email address here.
