Ramping up Chicken Production


We've been talking about it for a while, and it's finally happening. We're doubling production for the broiler chickens. Next week we will have 200 chicks on farm in two brooders (pictured below). Earlier this month we shared images of John building a second chicken tractor to accommodate the additional broilers on pasture - that tractor is almost ready for deployment as well. It's a little hard to see in the photo on the right because the tarps are not yet in place. 


More than Meat


Pastured meats are our primary focus here on the ranch, but not our only endeavor.
