07/15/20 Daily Tip from Kiki - Going LIVE on TikTok

If you’re trying to gain visibility on your account, one of the most effective ways to do it is to go live. Like A TON.

TikTok truly favors those that go live because LIVE = THE MOST TIME ON APP.

The longer you’re live, the more people will join.

We’ve seen live feeds where some huge TikTok influencers just sit there and have thousands of viewers (a little creepy, but whatever is clever!)

Basically, TikTok will send a notification out to all of your followers that will stay affixed at the top of your followers' notification page for the whole duration of your live.

Also, your entire profile will show that you’re “LIVE” so if anybody catches your video on your FYP, they have to watch you live.

Also, new people will follow you from your live because they discover you through the FYP.

However, you do have to have 1K followers to go live, so keep on posting and keep working up to it!

Another trick we learned from @mormmom is that you can integrate different games in your live. Encouraging people to engage or like on other followers' content for a shoutout helps incentivize and a fun place for people that will want to come back and watch your lives each time.

Is TikTok the Future of Reality TV?

Remember when Reality TV shows like “The Real World” and “Laguna Beach” were screened all over the globe? Well, that trend is making a comeback and this time it’s on TikTok.

TikTok Drama is catching the eye of viewers worldwide, so TikTok talent managers are jumping the opportunity. Basically, it revolves around two former couples — Chase “Lil Huddy” Hudson and Charli D’Amelio, and the Sway House’s Josh Richards and Nessa Barrett and their respective relationships and cheating. The whole shebang!

Snapchat throws in their sword with a TIkTok-Style navigation interface

That’s right, SnapChat has joined the...chat! The company confirmed it’s testing a new experience that allows users to move through Snapchat’s public content with a vertical swiping motion — a gesture that’s been popularized by TikTok. Seems like interesting timing given the rumors that TikTok may be banned by the Trump administration.

Wells Fargo tells employees to delete TikTok

Despite the chaotic Friday debacle with Amazon, Wells Fargo decided to follow with the required removal of TikTok from company devices. The rising concern with privacy and data collection of the app has created panic among businesses who run on protecting their users information.

However, TikTok has said that data pertaining to US users is stored in the US and not subject to Chinese laws. It has also hired an American CEO and may undergo corporate changes to distance itself from China.

HUGE TIKTOK BAN UPDATE:

According to @jeffcouret latest post, there was a press release stating that TikTok has just purchased over $800 million worth of Google's cloud services to store their data. If they end up being searched, that means Google will also have to be searched, too. Smart move, TikTok!
