Setup Goals And Set Them Often

One thing is for sure… goals are a good thing and are unique to your vision. A lot of effort goes into establishing and growing a business. In the beginning, it can be very intimidating, confusing, and a bit overwhelming. Once your business is up and running, you want to transition it to up and coming – that has its own set of hurdles as well. Everyone has their own definition of success, but everyone also must have a method to achieve success… a roadmap. It starts with a vision or an idea and flourishes into something much greater. In order to achieve success, you must create a list of achievable business goals to help guide you along your Entrepreneurial Aspirations.

Business goals are critical to establishing priorities and can set you up for success. You can start by identifying short and long-term goals and objectives. The short-term goals can be tasks to accomplish anywhere between 1-30 days and long-term can be 31-90 days. You should identify individual and realistic milestones to help achieve your business goals. If you have troubles with staying focused, try implementing a method of accountability. Use a daily agenda or even your mobile phone’s calendar and set reminders to keep you on track and focused on the daily agenda. I start my day by praying and looking at my calendar so I know what needs to be complete by the close of morning, afternoon, evening, and night (SSC Tip: Splitting the day into four parts helps and can prevent burnout). A self-reward approach is a great accountability method – treat yourself for the small victories, for they contribute greatly to the overall success of your business.

Starting is the most important aspect of business goal development. If you do not know where to start, start by defining the end. As an example, if you want to have an award-winning Podcast – write that down. Then look at what it takes to establish a Podcast, that will tell you where to start. Create an LLC, purchase equipment, market your podcast, build an audience, and win win win. These are examples and may not be the entire process, but you can sprinkle in your creativity to make it your own recipe for success.
