What the heck is a rewatch?
It’s simple. When a user watches your video more than once, it’s a rewatch. And yes, TikTok is tracking this and it is the number 1 metric that can help you in the algorithm, more than likes, comments, and shares.
Why?
Because it shows that your video is giving VALUE to your audience.
Here are a few reasons why someone would want to rewatch your video:

▪They share it with their friends▪It’s educational (listicle, factual, etc)
▪It’s intriguing
▪It’s a step by step reference (recipe, dance tutorial, life hack)
When creating your content, you want to OPTIMIZE your content for rewatches. That means you want to keep them relatively short and sweet (no more than 15-18 seconds, but no less than 8), but also have enough information in there to keep them wanting to watch over and over again.
So before you decide to start filming anything, always ask yourself,
“Will this content want to be REWATCHED?”
