Today’s tip is super short and to the point. 

Make sure to watch your video in its entirety before posting! This may seem obvious to many of you, but I don't always do it, since I figure that I’m already watching bits and pieces during the editing process.

Today, I spent about an hour editing all the text, effects, stickers in this video and didn’t watch it before hitting publish. Only after publishing did I notice that there was one caption video stuck on the ENTIRE video. It’s super distracting and I think it’s why the video totally bombed. 

I spent so long editing I can’t bring myself to edit it from scratch again. Hopefully I will muster up the energy at some point. But if I had just simply watched the damn video before posting, the issue would’ve been easily solved!

Ok, so this trend has already been running a few days now but it is too damn funny.

TikTok announces $200-million fund to help video creators

We love that TikTok is taking effort to prove that their presence in America will benefit the economy. TikTok has always been extremely supportive of its creators and this $200 million fund is targeted at helping creators earn a living off their accounts. 

Qualified creators that post regularly will be able to get payments from the fund. Applications for the fund will be opening up in August. Also, last week, TikTok and the National Music Publishers Assn. reached an agreement that will allow musicians to receive royalties for their music usage.

Web horror finds a home on TikTok

Haunted TikTok is a thing….The genre pulls in about 11 billion views.

One of the top accounts in this niche is @Where_is_everybody showing haunting images of the quarantine effects. However, in the haunted TikTok niche, there are endless subcategories. 

These short form horror videos are stemming from an online trend known as ARG or alternate-reality game. Viewers are involved in the mystery of the videos by piecing stories together and finding easter eggs on the web.
