Many times, we get inundated with making accounts that it can be overwhelming. As a result, people will just put filler text or just one word to describe their profile.
THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE!
Your bio is your first opportunity to make an impression. These days, you really only have 3-4 seconds to make your impression for your audience without losing them to a swipe.
This is why you have to get DESCRIPTIVE. And yes, you gotta do it with only 140 characters.
Be sure you give them a great one-line sentence of who you are, what you do, and HOW YOU HELP YOUR AUDIENCE. Remember, your profile is serving your audience. You’re providing value to your audience, which is why they will continuously come back to visit your other videos. Make sure you state that value clearly.
Also, include a call to action. Send them to follow your other accounts or add a link in your profile (pro account and at least 1000+ followers). Tell them to FOLLOW overtly in your profile, that way you don’t miss a chance of losing them.
When I added a direct call to action to follow my IG in my profile, I started getting between 60-100 followers on my IG a day within the last 3 weeks.
Use your bio wisely! It can be a huge benefit for your brand and business if you optimize it properly!
