You just wait for what we have in store this week. Just in the last week two of my friends went to rustic drive-in movies. One of them floated in her kayak to the Goonies and the other road their mountain bike to a hidden theater in the woods. Yeah, sign me up, see below for a directory of all drive-in theaters in the US, CAN, and AU.
As for other things I've been researching lately, hidden restaurants and bars in the woods. Reply if you know of any. So far the only interesting thing I found was a marketing campaign I missed last year!? "A secret pop-up bar if you do manage to find it, you will be given free beer and entered into a raffle to win free beer for life, national park passes, and a cabin getaway." ahh awesome.
Progress update on the unplugged city guides. I reached out to some folks I trust with their favorite places to unplug in cities they know well. I'm talking places and activities in the US, MEX, UK, AU and CAN that do not involve cell reception. To give you a sneak peak, I included one awesome idea from Amigo Motor Lodge below.
