Hey {{ subscriber.firstName | default('') }}!

I’m excited that you are here for August’s party at The Night Club! We're going to catch up on what's been happening and talk about what's next. Make sure to stick around for Last Call where I will include links to free books and stories.

Let's get this party started!

Dying in Dallas is out

Dying in Dallas is out and available for purchase in ebook and paperback on Amazon. Good news for you Kindle Unlimited subscribers—Dying in Dallas is in KU! Not a fan of Amazon? You can purchase the paperback online at Barnes & Noble. If you are still on the fence, the first 5 chapters are up on my website.

The response has been amazing

I released two days ahead of my scheduled August 1st date, set the price to .99 cents for the ebook and $10 for the paperback and sent the information out to my amazing Night Clubbers. You will always get sales, cover reveals, and all the gossip first. I promise!

The next day I announced its early release and sale price on Facebook. I went to bed thrilled that I was seeing some shares. I woke up to find my debut novel sitting at #8 in vampire mysteries and #13 in werewolf & shifter mysteries. Wait, what!? It was exciting to break into the top 100 in any Amazon category, but those two made my heart sing.

Of course, I didn’t hang on to the spots for long, but it was nice to see my book sitting there, if only briefly. Since the launch, y’all have been kind enough to share pictures of my book on social media and that has helped with additional sells.

Please consider leaving a review

Please consider leaving a review of Dying in Dallas on Amazon. Reviews boost the visibility of the book (please don’t ask me to explain the algorithm) and help readers find the book. If you aren’t an Amazon person, please consider leaving a review on Goodreads, Bookbub, or your favorite book site.

Please write whatever you would like, but keep in mind that the reviews are read by prospective readers trying to determine if they will enjoy the book.  Letting them know why you enjoyed it and telling them about the characters, without giving away too much of the plot, are good ways to do that.

What's next?

I have been working on a Halloween holiday novella caper for the Cabernet Cavalry, a.k.a Laramie Harper, et.al., and I’m in the editing process. It has been hard to focus with all of the buzz around Dying in Dallas, but I’m still hoping for an October release date.

In the meantime, check out Last Call for some books and stories to tide you over.

Thank you for all the support. I appreciate it more than I can ever say.

Beware of bumpies,

J. C. Keough
