2020 is the year of "The Pivot"

Who would have guessed

as we watched the ball drop on New Years Eve that so much would have changed in 2020. I think for many of us, it's taken a while to find our footing. Some of us are still operating in that limbo. And I get it! It. Doesn't. Feel. Good.

I was already planning for big things in 2020,

and I've had to learn how to pivot and operate again virtually. But I'm really excited for what that means for our holistic and oily community! It means lots more opportunities for our whole team, which is worldwide!

We merged our Facebook group back in April

to share with the group We Can Oil It! It has been so energizing to be a part of that bigger conversation about health and holistic approaches. If you're not yet over there, come join us!

And I'm really excited for what I get to offer you!

I am now a certified aromatherapist, having recently completed my studies with the School for Aromatic Studies and my affiliation with NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy). I am seeing clients both virtually and in person via The Oil Spot, which is my studio space in Richmond, VA, on Patterson.

The good news is that you are already grandfathered in,

and we can set up free services, simply because you're already in my Young Living family!

How does this work?

If you want to take advantage of this free service, just email me back and let me know that you want to schedule a consultation

Our first phone/Zoom/in-person meeting will last 30-60 minutes. We will do a simple health history, talk about what your goals are, and then I'll help you create a blend based on what you already have to work towards those goals.

About a week later, we will will have a follow-up, and I will present you a ~3 month goal plan that goes over the lifestyle edits, supplements, and of course oils that may help you work towards those goals from our first meeting. Then it's totally up to you how you want to proceed.

Again, this is something that you are able to get for free. You just have to request it!

Continuous Support

Each month, you also can request to sit down and:

- Get help creating your monthly order,

- Participate in a free aromatherapy or Aroma Freedom Technique session,

- Come in for a biofeedback scan (to see what your body is saying you need), or

- Refresh your health goal plan.

All you have to do is ask, and I will schedule you for this!

Again, with the exception of the biofeedback scan, all of these can be done virtually!

SO,

Why did I become an aromatherapist?

Honestly, I wanted to see if the information that we have been learning and teaching as part of our Young Living community for 6 years was accurate. The good news is, it is! I was so happy to get all of the validation that the information from our Essential Oil Desk Reference and all of our community workshops are spot on!

I haven't changed anything with how I'm running my business, education, support, or mentoring. I've just formalized it to make it easier for people to access.

Now more than ever, we are getting lots of advice from many different sources. It seems like anywhere we turn, someone else is telling us what to do and how we should act. It felt stifling and so inauthentic. It's why I'm so excited for what is happening in our little area of the world. I've focused primarily on supporting the body and mind holistically, and it is something that I am excited to work with you on as well.

SO,

How do I get more information?

While we are chatting, these are some other resources that you will want to be a part of (if you aren't already):

What is the difference between The Oil Spot and One Breath at a Thyme?

The Oil Spot is really the aromatherapy space located at 6806 Patterson Ave in Richmond. It is where I will meet with you (virtually or in person) and others! It's also where we can host events. The Oil Spot is part of the Live Well RVA Holistic Health Collective (I've partnered with a chiropractor, herbalist, reiki masker, and massage therapist in this space).

One Breath at a Thyme is the "community name" for our Young Living family. This name came about in 2016 when I was also faced with some major upheaval. I could have thrown in the towel (it certainly would have been easier), but I decided to rebrand, reinvigorate, and reinvent our community. I was able to do that because of breathing, our oils (thank you, Valor), the supports from my oily friends, and working with one little goal at a time. The name is so meaningful to me, as it is to so much of our community members who were with us at that time. Our website and YouTube channel came from that experience, and they are still thriving.

Sending you love,

Dory
