Hi friends, today at NAD Staff worship Elder James Black shared a powerful message: When God Tingles! Read 1Samuel 3:1-11 and pause at verse 11. Verse 1 “The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions. Verse 11 And the Lord said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.”
Webster defines ‘tingle’ (v. i.) To feel a kind of thrilling sensation, as in hearing a shrill sound.
Remember as a kid we would pretend to break an egg on someone’s head and then lightly, barely touching, run our fingers down their head like egg white slowly oozing? Did that give you the shivers just remembering? That reminds me of ‘tingle.' When the Bible uses the term ‘tingle’ there is always a message to sit up and listen. Do your own Biblical word search ‘tingle’... What do you find?
As I ponder the word ‘tingle’ I am reminded of the EnditNow committee discussion last week. The discussion made me ‘sit up’ and listen! Alarming statistics were shared of abuse going unreported because of the ‘stay-at-home’ order. The committee member spoke with gravity telling of the processes his office was putting in place to handle all the calls that will be coming in as schools start to open.
As NAD Children’s Ministry leaders let us encourage each of us to ‘live up’ to our calling!
Be the voice for our children…. Feel the ‘tingle!’
