WORDS TO LIVE BY

"It’s tougher to be vulnerable than to actually be tough."

    — Rihanna

Hunty, Rihanna spoke more than a word with this one. Lately, it seems as if I’m constantly preaching about vulnerability in both my professional and personal lives. No relationship can work if people are not brave enough to be vulnerable. During these very stressful times, when you are talking to a person and you don’t know what to say — say just that!! Say, “I don’t know what to say.” If you feel uncomfortable or scared, say it! Say, “I am uncomfortable.” If you care but don’t know what to do — say that! Just say, “I care so much but don’t know quite what to do.” Put energy into your feelings instead of your pride. Vulnerability heals and builds relationships. Vulnerability breeds trust. It takes guts to be vulnerable; but it is almost always beneficial. So embrace your vulnerability and the value it brings.
