WEEKEND WINE & WORDS #19

Unwind from work to weekend mode with a curated

list of wine selections, reading recommendations, articles from around the interwebs, and the latest CU content.

Dear long weekends, I love you…

Oh wait…I mean - Heyyyy First name / there friend!!

Something tells me I'm not the only one feeling the dog days of summer? Not that I particularly want it to go anywhere anytime soon, but I'll also welcome #sweaterweather with open arms. Just sayin'.

I've been sharing bits and pieces of my husband and I's upcoming move for what feels like an eternity now and it's finally upon us. (!!!!!!!) More on the reason for the excessive exclamation marks later…but for now, we'll be spending the last weekend in our current house prepping for moving day - so picture a mess of boxes, cleaning, and repairs. Such fun, right?

Although we plan to spend at least some amount time in the sun (it is Labor Day weekend after all), I may have to live vicariously through whether you end up doing this LDW.

One thing's for sure, I will be seen wearing white long after Labor Day. FASHUN, amiright? 💁🏻‍♀️

The Wine Selections: Rose

Onnee moreee timeee. In the words of Daft Punk, we're gonna celebrate!

In honor of our favorite three months of the year, we wanted to pay tribute to one final sip of summer, with none other than the chicest of wines, the ever-blushing Rosé.

Light and refreshing, our favorite pinks pair perfectly with all things barbecue-related for your Labor Day picnic (hint, hint the Orzo Pasta Salad below).

Embrace that ‘Rose State of Mind’  onnee moree timeee (sorry had to!!) to ring in the final days of this sweet season.

The Reading Recommendations

Throwing it back to an OG team favorite, Donald Miller uses seven universal story-building elements to teach brands how to connect and grow their businesses, and most importantly, clarify their message so customers understand what it is they're actually selling.

Through his paradigm-shifting and solution-oriented framework, Miller explains the psychology behind customer purchasing decisions and how to capture your customer's attention through crystal clear messaging in order for them to understand the benefits of your product or service.

The best part? He makes it ever SO simple. So if this past week left you feel like you have to do ALL THE THINGS with your marketing efforts, start here and “juuuust breathe”. 🎶
