A week's worth of Inspiration, Eating, Listening,

Watching, Reading, Working & Making

hey there, friend!

Whelp, we made it to September!!

Fall is the only real seasonal change that I mark with very distinct rituals on Labor Day weekend:  I switch out the wreath on the door, eat the first red pear of the season, and usually watch about 10hrs of college football.  I also break out the folk music.

Alas, I'm only able to do some of these things this year, but I'm grateful for this change to autumn more than usual in any case.  I'm looking forward to making the house a bit cozier, eating pumpkin with every meal I can, and for the weather to start matching my mood.

Here are some seemingly frivolous things that have brought me small moments of relief this week. I hope do they same for you, wherever, and however, you may be.

PIN OF THE WEEK

I am desperately looking forward to spending more time outside this month - even spent a morning this week weeding beds and washing the furniture.  Giving me major inspiration is this rooftop (!!!) in Seattle by Kaylen Flugel.  Ya'll know I LOVE me a black exterior!  And the natural wood touches and the soft plantings really give this the warm modern vibe that I adore.  Plus, so much natural shade is a such a gift!
