New Faces and Expertise

Meet Our New Intern

Mabel Davis is a 2nd year graduate student working to obtain her Master’s in Social Work at UT. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Criminology at Penn State University and moved to Nashville in 2016, after living overseas in Guatemala and working with the International Justice Mission. Mabel lives in Southeast Nashville with her husband.

In addition to welcoming Mabel, we also added two people to our Board of Trustees. Kristina Clark joins us as the President and Founder of KM Clark Consulting Group, a consulting company dedicated to developing and sustaining non-profits. Ashford Hughes, Sr., joins us as the Executive Officer for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Metro Nashville Public Schools.  We are fortunate to have them!

Recently Funded Grantees

Congratulations to the 18 nonprofits that were collectively awarded $532,142 in our most recent cycle! Recipients of the grants include non-profit organizations from 40 counties in Middle Tennessee that focus on advocacy, physical health, mental health, recovery from substance abuse or healing from abuse, neglect, and violence.  This year’s grants bring the collective grantmaking of The Healing Trust to over $94 million since 2002.

Be Well!
