maskne [ mask-nee ]
noun.

1. a slang term for a skin condition formally called acne mechanica that results from wearing a mask, especially a medical, N95, or cloth face mask.

my definition: a painful, annoying thing NO one should have to deal with!

As your skincare girl, I have compiled a list of tips to help you keep your skin as calm and healthy as possible during this difficult time.

6 TIPS TO AVOID MASKNE

CLEANSE + MOISTURIZE

☑ before putting on your mask
☑ immediately after taking it off

01

ADD ACNE TREATMENTS

AM/PM: Salicylic Acne Wash +
Benzoyl Peroxide Cream
3x a week: Sulfur Mask
Full Routine: Unblemish

02

USE A MINERAL-BASED SUNSCREEN

Mineral based sunscreens are known to be easier on broken, irritated skin. They can also help decrease oil production. Soothe Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 is gentle, calming, and effective!

03

SKIP MAKEUP

Trapped foundation under your mask can clog pores, causing irritation and breakouts. If coverage is needed, use a dermacosmetic like Radiant Defense instead!

04

WASH YOUR MASK

Try to wash your mask daily or pick up a pack of disposable masks.

05

APPLY SOOTHING + HEALING CREAMS

AM/PM: Sensitive Skin Treatment + Moisture Replenishing Cream
3x a week: Rescue Mask
Full Routine: Soothe
