AROUND TOWN

This week, I took Mom and Dad to Yellowstone to see Montana in the fall. No grizzlies were encountered, but we did have a magnificent view of Paradise Valley in autumn and enjoyed a cocktail on the back patio of The Sage Lodge.

IN RECENT NEWS

You are part of the inaugural Sunday Edition.

I am so grateful to be back in your inbox this morning for our newly reinstated Sunday morning catch up. Before we both get distracted with a new week, let's pour a cup of coffee and sit a moment.

How was your weekend?

I just got back from dropping my parents off at the airport. They were in town the past few days visiting me for the first time since I've moved to Montana. We explored all the way from Bozeman to Jackson Hole (staying safe!) and took in the fall scenery of the mountains.

As much as I loved having them here, it reminded me how important it is to consistently stay connected when you can't be face-to-face with those you love, something we're all realizing these days in the age of COVID. And when I can't share my life in person, I've got to figure out how to paint a picture so they feel like they're here.

And you can do the same thing with your brand, even when your audience is online.

This new series will carry us through the rest of 2020 as I refresh the Drop Cap brand and give you a front row seat to the whole thing. I won't lie, it's not a quick process, but by showing you what I'm doing step-by-step, you'll feel more confident in trying it yourself.

In this article, we'll cover:

  • The Backstory - how the foundation of your business sets the stage for your story
  • The Audience - getting inside the head of your characters
  • The Emotions - building drama and intrigue as you take your characters through a journey
  • The Competition - understanding the landscape of where your story fits
  • The Noteworthy - finding the secret ingredient that stays in the heart and mind of your reader

So pour some coffee, take out a fresh journal, and join me on this branding adventure.

If you have any questions or ideas that pop into your head, I'll be hanging out in the comments eager to swap stories!

Sincerely, Kadie
