WELCOME

If you're reading this, it's likely you're an advocate for the arts. Good news. You're in the right place.

At The Columbusite, we believe positive and diverse information on local arts and culture should be accessible and encouraged throughout a community.

We are honored to serve Columbus and the Chattahoochee Valley as a living resource with vibrant, creative, and ever-changing content suited to meet the needs of our growing audience. We are bold advocates for the arts, and for this beautiful community we're fortunate enough to call home.

OUR CONTENT

Our staff is made of creatives who hold beautiful storytelling in the highest regard. This means everything we share is developed with intention. Culture is what makes a city unique, and therefore encompasses many elements of our daily lives.

Our general content areas include information on: the performing arts, visual art and design, local arts education initiatives, exhibits at local museums and galleries, a robust food + beverage section, spotlights on BIPOC artists, explorations of local outdoor culture, and more.

OUR AUDIENCE

In just three short years, we've developed a combined, organic audience of more than 8,000 followers on social media. Our weekly arts event newsletter, The Sunday Best, has grown to nearly 800 subscribers, currently averages a 15% click-through rate, and receives an average of 300 more views on social media each week.

OUR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

We also recognize that, while a wonderful tool for communication, social media is not the real world. This is why, online and off, our team values building authentic and consistent relationships with our colleagues in the arts and in the community at large.

Our close professional relationships with the Columbus Cultural Arts Alliance and Visit Columbus, GA allow us to continuously work hand-in-hand, with the arts organizations and community we serve.
