A special announcement: there will be no cost to participate in the Global Summit, thanks to the generous support of the International Forum on the Future of Constitutionalism in partnership with the Program on Constitutional Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. All are welcome.

 

More news: we will award four prizes at the Global Summit, one each to recognize a Defender of Constitutionalism, an Architect in Constitutionalism, a Pioneer in Constitutionalism, and the prize for the Keynote Speaker. More details below.

Last week, I spoke at the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania to mark the 28th anniversary of the Lithuanian Constitution. The subject of my lecture was “Crisis, Consensus, and Confrontation in Constitutional Design.” I also delivered a lecture at the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil on Defending Democracy in Brazil and the World.” 


This week, I will give a lecture at the University of Philippines on “The Evil Past: Memory and Erasure in Constitutional Amendment.” I will also speak on a panel at Florida International University on “The Jurisprudence and Legacy of Justice Ginsburg.” More details appear below.
