“Listen – are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?”

~ Mary Oliver

Dear Head & Heart community,

As we collectively grow our mindfulness movement, I want to remind us (myself included:) of the basics. You have something in your pocket, with you all the time, and that is THE BREATH. A couple amazing things about the breath: it is highly intelligent. Our breath transforms itself in support of our survival. When we need to run from a tiger, it quickens and shortens. When we need to rest and digest, it slows and calms. However, due to the world we live in our breath is getting mixed signals. When we are stressed about work, family, world events, our breath becomes shallow; however, this protective function is no longer necessary. In these instances we do not need to run from a tiger. Therefore, if we become aware of our breath we have the power to transform how stress IMPACTS us. This is our power to evolve and spread compassion.

Give yourself a gift - you deserve it! Release tension and stress with our upcoming Online Yoga for Anxiety series, starting next week!

Lastly, A  big thank you!

We had powerful experience last week gathering for our first ever Musical Meditation. Thank you to all who joined! We had attendees from all over the nation. Ashley's beautiful voice and lyrics deepened the practice in a unique and magical way. Connecting us to courage, strength, and letting go. Here are some quotes from participants. Given the interest and feedback we certainly plan to find ways to keep offering this!!

“I felt like I was being called home."

“My heart…my heart…that was so unbelievably beautiful.”

“I didn't even know how much I needed that.”

“This brought me so much clarity.”

“This was a gift.”

“Your musical meditation poured love all over us."

Take good care of yourself during this difficult time in our world.

With Compassion,
