First name / Friend, I am so excited to share this exciting news with you about my first published book! Advent is always heavy on my heart, and at the beginning of 2020, I felt God nudging me that this was the year to make the dream in my heart of publishing a devotional or study for Advent a reality. Little did I know, like all of us, just how difficult this year would be!

If anything, the circumstances of this year are what produced the tenderness in my heart to put the pen to the paper (well, fingers to the keyboard really). As my first published book, this is a big deal, but it's more important to me that it makes an impact for those reading it than for it to make a big mark in my career. 

This holiday season will look different in many ways, but we still can see God working in the middle of the mess if we take time to show up and still our soul each day. That's the heartbeat behind this devotional, and I hope you'll find meaning for wherever your holiday season brings you.
