It's not 

about 

yoga 

or pilates

 

It's not about Yoga or Pilates. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking - Melissa, you literally named your business Pilates and Yoga with Melissa Capitano! How can it NOT be all about the Yoga and Pilates?? What is it about then? 

 

Scary how I know what you are thinking, right?

 

Okay, it's true. That's the secret. Yoga and Pilates aren't the thing. That's not what's most important. It's really not heresy for me to come out and say it.

 

Here is the thing - you feeling better is what is most important. You want your back pain to subside. You want more confidence. You want to be able to get up and down off the floor to play with your grandkids. You want to ease your menopause symptoms. You want better balance so you don't fall and break a hip. You want to sleep better at night and have more energy during the day. You want patience and awareness. You want to reduce your stress. You might even want to improve your golf game!

 

Those things are what is most important. Pilates and Yoga can help you feel better. In fact, you've probably been doing some stretches that are actually yoga poses or doing some exercises that are actually Pilates exercises.

 

Here's another secret for you. You don't have to do yoga poses and Pilates exercises perfectly. Because it's not about the pose or the exercise. It's about getting out of your head and into your body. It's about learning how to move in ways that make you stronger, leaner and more flexible. No one is perfect. We all do the best we can.

 

Are you shocked? Is your mind blown?  Lol, I hope not.

We've added more virtual classes at Yin Yang Pilates and Yoga. In addition to my Thursday 7:00 am Yoga class, I will also be teaching Monday mornings at 8:00 (Yoga Tone and Flow) and Monday nights at 7:00 (Pilates Barre). Both of these Monday classes are offered both virtually and in the studio. There are multiple pricing options, but you can purchase a ten pack of virtual classes for $70. We wear masks and practice social distancing at the studio.

I teach Pilates reformer classes and private Pilates and yoga sessions at Yin Yang. We do a complimentary 30 session for you to try it out. Here is a video of me in the studio showing

some exercises on the reformer.
