A week's worth of Inspiration, Eating, Listening,

Watching, Reading, Working & Making

hey there, friend!

I'm not sure how it happened exactly, but over the years, the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving are always the most grinding of my entire year. I usually take most of December off to recuperate and visit family, which this year, alas no.  And yet, I'm still burning the candle at both ends this week to get jobs done while also keeping us fed and clothed and not living in squalor (or at least living in an acceptable amount of squalor).

So while I have lots of thoughts on the current state of the world, all I have in me to share this week is a list of excellent links, and to let you know how thankful I am that you've joined me on the wild journey that this year has been.  Truly, I'm so thankful that you're here.

Please continue to be safe, remember to rest, and don't forget to buy extra gravy.

Happiest of Thanksgivings to you and yours!!

PIN OF THE WEEK

We celebrate Christmas.   We haven't done decorations here the past few years because we're gone most of December.  And I am usually very regimented about the holidays…each has it's own season and they should stand on their own.  But this year?  This awful year?  I'm softening.  Coupling that with the fact that there will be no travel to snowy mountaintops next month means I am ready to get this holiday show on the road here at home as soon as possible. Target got me with their early black Friday sale this week, and I treated myself to a pre-lit tree for 50% off.  Now the only decision is how crazy to go with the ornaments.  Bold and cheery? Or soft winter sparkle?  Either way, I'm READY.
