Come Learn With Me!

Hey, Parents!

I hope all has been well with you. I am thrilled that you have chosen to be part of my Tribe and learn + connect with me more. After all, what is life without having people to share it with, right?

My site and blog are awesome resources available to you. But sometimes, it pays to have access to a teacher in real-time. I bet that would decrease your stress and give you more time elsewhere, huh? I know what I am doing. Choose me teach your student(s) next semester so you can take a load off. I am known for cultivating “lightbulb” connections where students engage in an original way and independent way. This way, your children are not  leaning on you so much to accomplish learning goals and tasks I will teach them for themselves.

Did you know that the two most-challenging courses for families to find a qualified educator in is Writing & Black  American History? It is even harder to find an educator of color. Well, the stars have shined brightly on you. I teach BOTH! This semester I taught a group of Eighth Graders how to write their first formal six-paragraph essay. In fact, they are preparing for their essay delivery presentations as I compose this message to you.

I also use my history curriculum, Our History Revealed™ to teach American History with an African-American presence. I am here to serve Black families who search for cultural identity and pride in their students' learning.

I keep my classes small and intimate. We have a good time with evidence of real learning progression. You'll notice the difference but even if you do not, the learning reports I create and share with you will visibly capture your student's progress.

I got you.

And, I'd love to have your student in my class next semester. Registration is open through Monday, January 4, 2021. Mention this email for a 10% discount.

Before I go, I want to share a major win with you. I was chosen as an speaker-educator to deliver a presentation at the Conference on College Composition and Communication on Building Diverse Communities through Writing. Did I tell you that teaching writing is a personal superpower of mine? I deliver my presentation titled, "Writing through Social Identity and Awareness," on December 19 for the University of Southern California

Wish me blessings, mkay? Thanks.
