Dear First name / sweet friend

I see your pain, and it's big.

I also see your courage, and it's bigger.

You can do hard things.

- Glennon Doyle

There is a sort of magic and hope around the new year and it's definitely extra hopeful this year.

What are some of your favorite self care rituals surrounding the turn of the year?

I urge you to incorporate reflection into your new year traditions this year.  It will most likely be an emotional process, but I recommend it to you because it's significant.  I put together a journal practice below to guide you through this process.  If you can, take some time to really sit back and take in the enormity of the year once you complete this exercise.  I truly, truly feel that this is a more important year than most to reflect back on.  As my friend Lisa put it the other night in her class - we must reflect in order to move forward.

Then, as you look forward to the new year with your own personal rituals and traditions, I invite you to join me in several of my own.  Scroll down for an invitation to a special Yin class tomorrow night, and to choose a crystal for your new year intention.

And so she shifts.  Just like everything else, our celebrations surrounding the new year look different this year - I hope that your quieter move into 2021 brings you and yours much hope, happiness and wellness.

Intention practices are so important for ourselves and for our goals. This new year, I invite you to join me in a brand new practice - to choose a crystal to symbolize your intention for the year.

I incorporate crystals into my intention practices because they are energetic and aesthetic symbols of the significance that our selected word means to us.  They are a symbol for me to practice with and a visual representation & reminder of my intention whenever I look at them. I can't imagine creating an intention without one at this point, it's so powerful!

I invite you to choose a crystal to represent your intention for the year, and I am here to help assist you.  Please reply to this email with your intention / word for 2021 and I would love to recommend a variety of crystals to you to support your word!

I'm offering 25% off the entire MoonRise Boutique now through the end of the year so that you can choose your crystal for the year at a discount. Enter code NEWINTENTION

Once you select it, keep it near - in your room, in your car, at your desk - somewhere you will see it often and remind you about your intention in the moment.  Use it in your self care practices!

I hope that this practice serves you and becomes a NEW new year ritual for you moving forward - I'm really excited about it this year and already have my 2021 crystals picked out (mine are selenite, black tourmaline and citrine)!

use these journal prompts this week if they inspire you

As we say adieu to such a significant year, I want to urge you to reflect and take it in.  It most likely will be an emotional process, but I recommend it to you because it's important.

This week's practice has simple directions, but it is very impactful.

Your journal practice this week is to reflect, in detail about your year.

Put pen to paper and list it all out.

Your joys, your shocks, your sadness, your loss, your happiness, the silver linings you found along the way, the struggles, the things you are proud of, the pain, the way you lead with your heart, the things you are GRATEFUL for.  List it all out.

I suggest that you weave gratitude in throughout everything.

Add something you are grateful for every other item on your list.

List it all out and sit with it, with wonder and pride.  It is so deserved, you've been through so much.

Keep this list at hand to look back on and remember how you showed up, the things you learned along the way and the unique way in which you are now ready to move forward.  It was such a year.

LOCATION : virtual

Join Jenny in an all levels, pay what you can Yin Yoga class to create or meditate with your 2021 word.

Have you ever chosen a “word” for your year?  Over the past few years, I began doing this instead of creating a resolution. I choose a word that I'm inspired by, and that helps to inspire me for the year, then come back to it often.  Sometimes I create a bracelet with my word stamped onto it so that I am reminded of it each time I look at my wrist (a year ago we came together IN PERSON - if you can remember what that feels like - for a beautiful VinYin followed by intention bracelet making), other times it's as simple as a sticky note on my mirror with my word.  I love to come back to my intention throughout the year, it has served me SO well.

Regardless of the HOW - I always think of or honor my word via some sort of thoughtful practice.  And this year, I really want to share it with you.

Please join me for an all levels, pay what you can hour of yin yoga to create of honor your word for 2021.  This hour will be a moving meditation to either ponder or spend time with your word.

If you know what your word is, I suggest bringing your favorite crystal to your mat that symbolizes your word.

Yin yoga is a gentle form of yoga, appropriate for any level, and the ultimate self care. In yin, we hold poses for longer amounts of time to allow gravity to take over, our parasympathetic nervous system to kick in gear, and calm in our mind and body.  It is TRULY the best hour of self care.

- Set up your area in a quiet and dim space. If you love candles, essential oils, crystals, set them up around you.

For this special event, you might consider bringing a journal to your mat to have access to jot down any words or thoughts that come to mind.
- A yoga mat is not necessary, but if you have one, unroll it.  You could even get super comfy by placing a bath mat (this is what I use) or blanket on top of your mat!
- Have several yoga props available...blocks and bolsters if you have them, bed pillows, blankets and towels if you don't.

Pay what you can. This is a donation based class, pay what you are able.

My family GREATLY appreciates your donations as this is how I make my living, venmo @ jadoreurlife

The new moon represents deep feminine wisdom.  Engaging regularly with the moon cycles is a powerful way to become intimately connected with the phases of birth, death and rebirth.

In our lives, we too are constantly moving through these cycles, seasons and changes. Connecting to and working with the moon as she cycles creates a life of deeper meaning and more authentic connection as we are able to live a life with more awareness and intention.  It also provides a regular opportunity for self care and checking in with yourself.

Join Lisa Reeder (Wild Souls Yoga) & Jenny White (MoonRise Self Care) in a virtual women's circle experience curated for this specific month, inspired by nature and a unique intention.  We will practice grounding techniques, breath work and development of our intuition & personal experience all infused with yin yoga poses.  We will share space with each other to receive, connect and create

ps Lisa is teaching a virtual yin class directly after - it's the BEST double if you're able to attend both!

Pay what you can. This is a donation based event, pay what you are able.

It was so meaningful to launch the MoonRise Channel on YouTube this year.  It is my goal to provide you ways to come back to yourself as often as possible, and providing you content on a free platform is very important to me.

I'll be taking time during the last few weeks of the year to create videos for you and plan for the new year.  As always, please reply to this email if there is a particular video that you're wanting me to create!  I'm always looking for inspiration from you.

PLEASE subscribe + turn notifications on so that you never miss a new release to the channel.

I believe that kindness matters, in uplifting someone else, in the ripple effect and in paying it forward.  I believe that the world needs more love and kindness and that we have the potential to change someone's day with a small gesture.

When I began the MoonRise crystal boutique, I knew that I wanted to incorporate a #CrystalRippleEffect into it from the start, so I began gifting a FREE crystal with every purchase.  It's become one of the most important parts of the boutique to me.  With each purchase, you'll receive a free crystal - you could keep it for your collection, gift to a friend or share with a stranger.  Set an intention behind it and pass those vibes on!

For the entire month of December, you'll be gifted TWO selenite sticks with any purchase totaling $60+!

One for you and one to gift to a friend or stranger!

Selenite is a must have for ANY collection.  I keep selenite throughout my house with intentions of calming and cleansing.  You'll find it under my bed, next to my bed, near all of my other crystals....literally I think I have a piece in each room of my space!

Nothing special for you to do, a piece will automatically be sent when your purchase totals $60+.

A few weeks ago, I began a weekly tradition called the #CrystalRippleEffect.  It's a weekly giveaway to help pay some good forward.

Every Sunday I'll host a contest on the MoonRise Instagram Stories to send TWO Rose Quartz points to the winner - one for them and one to gift to a friend or stranger.  I hope that it assists in spreading more love.

Be sure to follow us @MoonRiseSelfCare to enter every week!
