THE WEEKEND UPDATE

Hello Friends!

 

Dear First name / Friend,

 

My last Weekend Update of 2020. Let's join in a collective cheers 🥂, a wave goodbye 👋🏼 and maybe even a bird- flip 🦜 to the year.  

 

I know it's not like all the problems and tragedy of 2020 will miraculously disappear with the strike of midnight, but at least we get to change out the calendar;) And the vaccine is here - or coming soon - which is huge. My dear friend Sue is a nurse and in a high-risk population, and she got her first dose yesterday.  I am optimistic that better days are ahead! 

 

I hope you know how much I appreciate you and your support of my little biz, your kind and helpful comments and notes, and all the fun and POSITIVE interaction we have. If you know me, you know I’m a social being - an introverted extrovert- 🙃 and without this community for the past 9 months I may just have lost what’s left of my mind. So THANK you, BLESS you and I really do LOVE you.  

 

Now, enough mush and philosophy…back  to the fun and frivolity that is B.Styled;)

 

  1. NEED IDEAS FOR EASY APPETIZERS?

Look no further than the B.Styled #justgetdressed VIP group. I put a request out last week and was blown away by the response. My cooking-challenged family managed to pull off 6 winning apps on Christmas Eve, and the smoke alarm only went off twice. 

 

We had Garlic shrimp, prosciutto- wrapped asparagus, pigs in a blanket, sausage wontons and scallops wrapped in bacon...and of course the family fav: NACHOS!

2. HOW'RE YOU DOING WITH YOUR 3-HABITS??

 

NOT an easy time to keep up with these habits….But a focus on progress not perfection is always good during the holidays, right? We can do this though…they are small and easy habits. Make the commitment and keep it up all year long: 

 

1. 20-30 min. daily movement ✅ 

 

2. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water ✅ 

 

3. #justgetdressed.

 

And just because I love you and know how much it helps our psyches to get dressed each day- even just to sit on the couch or yell at our kids get their socks off the kitchen table 🤦🏼‍♀️….I'm opening up the Winter Style System Planner again after New Year's.

3. DO YOU HAVE BLUE-LIGHT BLOCKING GLASSES?

This is a relatively new thing to me, but I've been seeing them more and more, and my son asked for a pair for Christmas. I picked up some blue-light blocking readers at Tjmaxx but think I may invest in a quality pair at some point. Here's an article about them with some recommendations as well, FYI.
