The students of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School inspired us all with their resilience during the first semester of 2020-2021. Our Miners fought to continue to excel academically despite many hardships and achieved an overall cumulative GPA of 3.77. They also found creative ways to give back to their community, connected to one another in new ways, and exemplified the Miner Spirit that we are all so proud of at Bishop Manogue. For this Student Spotlight, we wanted to share some of the accomplishments of Miners who went above and beyond last semester!

Qualik Tuliva

Qualik Tuliva endured a severe leg injury at the end of his junior year where he was told he wouldn’t be able to play varsity football or run track during his senior year. Through a miraculous amount of determination and perseverance, he managed to finish the semester without letting his injury pull him down academically, physically, or emotionally. He pushed through long and painful months of rehabilitation and never allowed himself to give up hope that he could fully heal. Qualik’s positive attitude and drive allowed him to recover and return this semester stronger and healthier than ever. We are so proud of this inspirational Miner!
