Hello First name

2020 was an interesting year  So many mixed emotions! But I can still rejoice in God my Savior.  He is the answer to all our needs.  He is the one who will erase all fears.  He is the one we can trust in for our future!

Last November I focused on things I was thankful for according to God's Word.  Oh the riches we have in Christ!  I posted several of them on the blog, but didn't get all 30 days up.  You can find most of those HERE.

Christmas came and went so quickly and every year I say I'm just going to leave my tree up. (Ha!) The first day of the New Year brought some sad news of the unexpected death of my sister.  I'm thankful that she's safe in the arms of Jesus and is celebrating with loved ones gone on before her.  My heart is hurting and yours may be too.  Here are some good verses to focus on when you heart hurts.

I am particularly thankful that we need not fear death.  In this link you'll find a song that I came across and have since decided I want it sung at my funeral.   COVID-19 has put a lot of fear into so many people, but with the Lord there is no fear in death - Death is just a shadow that will usher me to the King of kings.

My home needs some decluttering so I am following this challenge for the next few weeks.  Sometimes I need to declutter my heart too and deal with the messiness of life.

I've decided that even in the storms of life I can have a song in my heart. The Lord has laid on my heart to focus on singing this year.  He's already pointed out so many wonderful Truths to me. I believe I can write in my devotional journal on this subject every day during this new year.  What's your focus?

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

Read Psalm 77

When the Psalmist wrote this passage, he remembered God's goodness throughout the years. This gave him a song in his heart even in troublesome times.  Let's count our blessing and see what great things the Lord has done.
