Hey, Danny founder of Headlime here with a big credit update.

Since launch, the biggest cause of confusion has been our credit system and I totally understand why. Not knowing how much clicking a button costs can be scary. Also, credit usage varied a lot.

So, I decided it's time to overhaul our credit system to make it more clear and easier to understand.

But, before we dive in, let me tell you this first. Every plan gets an increase between 30% to 55% of copy you can generate! More on this later. 🥳

So, what's new?

We're stepping away from character based usage to a more simple per-generate system. Every AI category now clearly shows you how many credits will be used when you press the button. Below is a list of the new cost per category and the amount of maximum credits per month per plan.

These credits are your monthly maximum allowed usage. These reset back to the maximum at the beginning of every billing period of your subscription. So, if you signed-up for the Pro plan at the 1st of January, the credits reset to 500 on the 1st of February.

Top-up credits & refund credits

With this update, we also introduce two new credits.

First is the top-up credits. Sometimes you need way more copy than you normally need. Monthly maximum generates can quickly run-out this way. At Headlime we don't like to overcharge you. Therefore we allow you to purchase extra generates.

These top-up credits do not expire. We also only start using these, once your monthly allowance has finished.

Lastly, refund credits. Sometimes our AI likes to go a little rogue and returns low-quality copy. You paid to get high-quality copy, so we think it's fair you should be able to refund the bad ones.

Simply hover one of the returned copy and click the refund button, and we'll refund you one credit. We set a limit to the amount of refunds per month, to make sure this function doesn't get abused.

What happens to my current credits?

We've converted all your existing credits to top-up credits. These do not expire. One new credit is equal to 0.00333 old credits. For example, 150,000 old credits are now 500 credits.

We've also reset your monthly credits to the plans level. This means we're giving away about 100,000 credits to our paying customers. It's going to cost us a bit, but we think this is the most fair solution.

Show me the details!

As most of the older customer of Headlime know; I like to be completely open and honest about my business. So, here's a list of exactly how many copy items you can generate per plan if you used all credits for on one category, and what the difference in numbers are between the old and new credit system.

Old: Average number of copy generated with the old credit system.

New: Average number of copy generated with the new credit system.

Gain/loss: Average change in the amount of copies you can generate.
