Welcome to the Full Moon in Leo!

Hello dear First name / one,

We are halfway through our first lunation of 2021, and somehow it feels like January has already been a long year. Perhaps it’s the availability of information, perhaps we’re all becoming more sensitive to our world. If you followed along with the Human Design New Year, the collective conflicts may have been unsurprising, but that doesn’t mean they don’t affect us emotionally. And, I don’t know about you, but I have felt  e m o t i o n a l.

(FYI, the Leo moon primarily affects the heart, blood, and circulatory system. Yes that includes your aorta, which Angie's character later learned is actually in your chest.

See below.)

There is a lot of push/pull happening between leaping into the new and cleaning up what has been spoilt. How do we let off some steam and also hold fast to our resolutions and our new value systems? We’re in the unique position to ask how we want to rebuild.

We continue to ask:

How does it (whatever it is) serve us?

Today’s full moon in Leo reaches its zenith at 11:16am PST/ 2:16pm EST, but I know many of us have been feeling it ramp up in the last couple of days with its opposition to Jupiter amplifying its expressive energy. A Leo moon is heavy on the drama and the need to be recognized. And this can also cause us to be a little more sensitive to criticism. With a challenging square to Mars, keep an eye out for conflict and remember that not everything is an attack.

If you are presented with feedback, can it be used constructively? And when things get too serious, can you incorporate
an element of play?

Also, the sun moves into Gate 19 today, known as “Approach—the Gate of Wanting.” I love Gate 19; I love folks with Gate 19 defined in their charts. It’s a bonding gate, an intuitive awareness of needs and lack. Those with this gate need to be needed by their family and their community to feel their full expression. And when the sun is in this gate, it fuels our social neediness. Because it will be in Line 1, this places “need” and “want” in the theme of interdependence.

Take this opportunity to check in on your friends, they will certainly appreciate it and you will in turn feel a pleasant sense of fulfillment by providing support.

This week on the 'gram, I talked about the Not-Self and how to identify our Not-Self signature states.

For Generators and MG's, this is a sense of frustration

For Projectors, a sense of bitterness

For Manifestors, this is a sense of anger

For Reflectors, a sense of disappointment

These feelings can be debilitating for each energy type and loop them into perpetuating the Not-Self behavior with further mis-aligned action.

When we stop to check ourselves and rely on our Strategy and Authority, we can usually find an alternative to a conflict or a situation of resistance.

We can then redirect our energy toward what serves us.

Want to know more about your Not-Self, and how yours is specific to your personal definition? That's what INITIATION is for.

Already know your Not-Self and want to know how to work with it (or without it) in your every day?

Book a Counseling session and we'll get some actionable steps going.

Still on the fence about it all? I'm actually quite easy to talk to.

Book a Clarifying Call. It's free, you know, like a friend. 🤗
