Food insecurity describes a household's inability to provide enough food for every person to live an active, healthy life. Sadly, Rhode Island is experiencing its highest level of food insecurity in 20 years, up 45% from pre-pandemic levels. And the RI Food Policy Council expects this to continue for another one to two years.

Just $10 secures a well-balanced meal for a RI neighbor who needs assistance and 100% of your donation is directed to one of our participating restaurants to cover the costs of food and staff.

Plates with Purpose is a donation-based program, powered by the compassion and kindness of others. Our model facilitates a two-way value exchange, providing relief for the restaurants we love, in return for getting hot, nutritious and delicious meals into the hands of RI individuals and families struggling to meet their basic food needs.
