Throughout the month of March, Splice is taking a beat to amplify and celebrate women creators. Their sounds and stories shape music every day but aren’t always heard. We’re turning the volume up on "What does it mean to be heard?” for women artists and producers by sharing these stories across our socials & platform. Below are a few notable packs from female creators.

Splice: Artist Development

Congrats to Splice alum Fousheé for crossing 200 million streams with her worldwide smash, Deep End. Splice met Fousheé in 2018, when her silky R&B vocals caught the attention of a Splice A+R. In January 2020 her vocal pack debuted on the platform and was an instant hit with producers. One distinctive loop from the pack titled ‘Deep End’ made its way into the hands of Great John and Sleepy Hallow who created a freestyle, TikTok lock-down smash with it. Fousheé went on to land a deal with RCA, releasing her own version of Deep End. Fousheé is now being heard all around the world and is working on her debut album.

Kate Wild

Kate Wild is a singer, songwriter, vocal producer and artist based in London (UK). Kate founded Splice sample label Vox and is also co-owner of 91Vocals the world's first vocal sample label. Kate's widely popular vocal samples have appeared on countless artists' records from David Guetta, to Dillon Francis to Shiftk3y. Kate said of her work as a sample vocalist, "I always say that sample packs can put you in rooms you’ve not walked into yet, especially if your name is on the pack. For me, it’s been a great stepping stone into producers circles and them using my samples and wanting to do more work with me.”

 A one-of-a-kind Vocal Sample Collection

In celebration of International Women’s Month, Kate Wild’s sample label VOX has proudly partnered with The Creator’s Suite, to release a one-of-a-kind collaborative vocal pack. The Creator Suite was founded by Abhita Austin in an effort to support women DJs, producers, and audio engineers by providing them with access to education, increased visibility and career opportunities. The pack features samples from over 31 of women creators. 100% of the proceeds from this pack will be, in the words of Abhita “reinvested into growing and supporting our community of outstanding women in music production. My intention is for it to be a vehicle of inspiration, positive change and gender equity”
