Hi First name / friend

If you could use a little creative self-care at the moment, (and want to show you care while you're at it), then this is the perfect opportunity to do both!

Following my month-long hiatus for a full hip replacement, (not to mention the ongoing pandemic), this month's Muse Letter is fittingly themed around healing and care. For my own small part to spark worldwide “creative recovery,” I'm participating in Creativity & Wellbeing Week 2021, May 17-23, sponsored by London Arts and Health and the Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance.

For this event, I am hosting a Messy, Magical, Art-Making Muse Date on Thursday, May 20 (6:30-9 pm, Amsterdam time). This 2.5 hour online creative workshop will be dedicated to Covid-19 relief efforts in India. Instead of making a sliding scale payment to me through my Kissing the Muse website, I encourage you to donate directly to any of the following charitable organizations or one of your own favorites:

Give India

Care India

Ox Fam UK

Oxygen for India
COVID-19 Relief for India Fund (GoFundMe)

Or, if you prefer, you can also purchase a Muse Date ticket through my website and I will donate the entire ticket price (minus the 2.5% platform fee my website charges me for all ticket sales) on your behalf.

In the meantime, here's some art and musings, from my heart to yours.

Inspiration for you...

Health is not simply the absence of illness. Real health is the will to overcome every form of adversity and use even the worst of circumstances as a springboard for new growth and development. Simply put, the essence of health is the constant renewal and rejuvenation of life.

Featured Muse Kissing Sweetheart :

“There will always be a new opportunity to grow, to be creative, to kiss your muse!”

Despite lockdown in the Netherlands, I was lucky enough to teach two,  six-week studio courses, live and in-person, at the Stichting Buurtwerkplaatsen in Amsterdam. That's where I meet the amazing Marie-Andree, who signed up for both—and attended every class! As one of the first full-fledged graduates of my twelve-phase Messy, Magical, Art-Making Adventure, she's a dedicated muse kisser, and inspiration to know. Click the button below to read her muse sweetheart spotlight.

There's much more to share since we last mused together, but since I'm trying to balance my creative call with my more mundane daily tasks, I think it's best to sign off for now. Again, I hope you will join us for the next drop-in Muse Date on Thursday, May 20 at 6:30 pm (Amsterdam time). And if words are more your thing, pop in for our next Expressive Writing Flirt on Friday, June 4. Sign up for either below.

'Til next time, may you be happy, may you be healthy, may you be safe and at ease. 😘
