LIL HOOTS | 1.5-2.5 YEARS: Our Lil' Hoots begin their journey in education for the first time. Their activities consist of color and shape recognition, introductory alphabetical and phonics immersion, and more. This tier is designed to facilitate a child’s transition into their education while also readying them for preschool.
EARLY HOOTS | 2.5-3 YEARS: Early Hoots start to learn the skills needed as they embark on their academic path. Many of our Early Hoots have already started preschool, and our goal is to introduce and hone the skills necessary to succeed. The main focus of this tier is handwriting, while also placing emphasis on skill building activities, vocabulary exercises, phonics and pre-reading abilities, and more.
PRE HOOTS | 3-4 YEARS: Pre Hoots continue to advance and discover new skill sets needed for kindergarten acceptance. Our Pre Hoots have already started preschool and are working towards kindergarten readiness. We incorporate advanced handwriting activities, while also beginning to focus more acutely on pre-reading and, ultimately, independent reading. Pre Hoots will also work on story comprehension, understanding abstract concepts, and paying attention to detail to ready them for kindergarten entry exams.
KINDER HOOTS | 4-5 YEARS: Kinder Hoots master all necessary skill sets needed for kindergarten success. This tier continues to work on honing their handwriting skills, with the main focus being placed on reading, reading comprehension, phonetic spelling, attention to grammar, and more. Kinder Hoots also work on self portraits, which help with self-awareness and attention to detail. The goal of this tier is to ensure each child is prepared, confident, and ahead of the game when they begin kindergarten.
