100 Day Plan Progression

EBRPSS families and staff,

In conjunction with my entry plan, I authorized a team of consultants to conduct a transition report. Based on the findings outlined in the report, we are collaborating with the community to review and provide feedback on the recommendations. We will hold two virtual forums Wednesday, March 10, to collect community input.

To attend the virtual forums, please visit the following links during the live sessions:

Wednesday, March 10 - 9 AM: https://meeting.ebrschools.org/2021/03/10/1/

Wednesday, March 10 - 6 PM: https://meeting.ebrschools.org/2021/03/10/2/

Additionally, I created five Advisory Councils that will focus on the identified priorities, and the teams will help address areas of need within the district. The council members and thought partners will be organized into five groups:

1. Superintendent’s Roundtable: made up of community stakeholders

2. Principal Advisory Council: composed of principals selected by the superintendent

3. Teacher Advisory Council: consisting of two teachers from each school

4. Student Advisory Council: made up of two students from each high school

5. Parent Advisory Council: including one parent from each school.

We are still taking nominations for the Parent Advisory Council. Interested parents or guardians are encouraged to nominate themselves or others through the nomination form. In order to be selected as a school representative, the parent/guardian nominee must have a child currently enrolled in the school they wish to represent. The Parent Advisory Council plans to meet once a month from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Instructional Resource Center. The individuals selected to sit on this council will serve for the remainder of this school year and for the 2021-2022 school year.

The purpose of the EBRPSS Advisory Councils is to connect and empower groups of stakeholders through focused discussions and collaboration. The Advisory Councils will cover a wide array of topics such as improved college and career readiness strategies; social and emotional learning; safe and healthy school environments; and comprehensive student support services. I look forward to our continued collaborations and student-centered progress.

Sincerely,

Sito Narcisse, Ed.D.

Superintendent of Schools, EBRPSS
